Commercial services include different sized carts, containers and debris boxes to fit your waste and recycling needs. The frequency of service depends on the volume of waste, recyclables, or compostables produced.
We offer up to 6 times per week garbage service for commercial businesses. Compost and recycling may be available for service more than once a week.
When you set up service, a customer service representative or a community outreach coordinator will review the cart, bin, and box size options with you to help you select the appropriate sizes for your needs.
Container size and pickup frequency is based on your business’ needs.

Your garbage is hauled to Clover Flat Landfill and is not sorted for recyclables. Save resources and potentially save money by sorting materials properly!
Pricing is based on the size garbage container you choose.
We offer containers for separated recycling: cardboard, glass, and pallet wrap. These programs are available in 4-yard bins or larger.
We also offer 4 and 6 yard bins for single material separated materials at a reduced rate (glass bottles and jars, metal items, and flattened cardboard).
Your green cart is for compost only.
Compost (formerly known as green waste) is for green waste and food scraps only.
For customers with large amounts of yard waste we offer:
The Food Scraps Compost program is available for our restaurants and businesses with a commercial kitchen. It comes at no additional cost if the containers stay clean without contamination (i.e., plastic, glass, garbage, etc.). Only solid food scraps—no liquids—and food-soiled paper can go into this stream.
Carts and bins for garbage are serviced up to six times per week per week. Recycling and Compost carts/bins are usually serviced once per week on a designated day depending on where you live.
Upper Valley Disposal & Recycling uses fully automated trucks to help improve collection efficiency and reduce costs. These trucks have a mechanical arm that reaches out and wraps around the carts, lifts them up, and empties the cart’s contents into the top of the truck. Because of this, it is essential they are placed out for collection correctly.
Bins must be located in a designated area for collection.
If you have extra garbage, recycling or green waste that does not fit inside your cart or bin, you must call or email the Upper Valley Disposal & Recycling office at least one (1) business day before your collection day.
On occasion, our driver might tag your cart/bin when a can is overloaded and the lid is not closed. A picture will be taken and a charge will be added to your account for extra bags and/or extra yards overfull for bins. If the container is so overfull that emptying it may result in materials littering the street, the cart/bin will not be emptied.

Bins are emptied using front loader trucks. It is important that there are no obstacles above or around the bin that will prevent it from being safely emptied.
We make every effort to emptying your container(s) on your service day, but on occasion, we may miss you. We apologize if this happens.

Upper Valley Disposal will replace containers damaged from our equipment or that are broken due to normal wear and tear. Carts should last at least 7 years and bins should last about 10 years.
Containers should never be towed behind vehicles or dragged for long distances since this will damage the wheels and they will need to be replaced at a cost to the customer.
